Happy Birthday, Dad.

Rob, glad you have had a fantastic trip. Now this is where your problems begin (as you have already noted)! The bug never goes away, mate.

I’m off to Japan in the morning. Only 12 days for now, but another couple of trips between now and the end of Nov will be forced into the mix. Bit of a pain in the arse, really.

Have a safe flight home and I expect you’ll get your money back on Kermit. When I was in Key West, I bought a 73 Duster for $90. It had CA plates. I drove that thing from Key West to Toronto, back to Key West, over to Colorado (where it got impounded and I ended up behind bars…yep, that’s a new bit of info for you all!…and cost me another $90 to get it out of impound), down to Arizona, in to CA (home for it, I suppose), where it got impounded again in Huntington Beach. That time I just grabbed my stuff and high-tailed it out of there, into the back of a Volkswagon bus and up to Santa Cruz. I’d say I got my money out of that car. If you end up leaving Kermit on the side of the street with a ‘FREE’ sign on it, you’ll still have gotten your money back.

Enjoy BC.

Nige, if you are still managing to catch up with all of these comments, you are right , we never knew about this and I imagine there’s a lot more I dont know, not just about you but all of you. I mentioned to Rob that you should all get together and write a book , I’m sure you all have stories to tell that would make my hair stand on end. Sorry Rob that I used you Blog to send Nigel a message but I thought it might be the one and only time he will open his mail on a regular basis. Well I’m off to bed now, I shall be waking up through the night and trying to figure out what time it is where you are and what you might be doing. hope to-day or was it yesterday, was another good one for mom. Have a safe Journey Nige, try and find time to get in touch with us soon. Love mom. Your dad said thanks for the message.

Enjoy your last week of freedom in Vancouver.

Good luck selling Kermit – I’m sure it will all go smoothly.

Enjoy the luxury of the Hotel on your last couple of nights – I think you’ve earned it!

Hello from Gabriola Island- off of Nanaimo. I’ve been enjoying your tale here. Not only have you had a great adventure on a great bike (I have an ’08 KLR), but you seem to have a totally awesome family to top it off.
Dude, (as the kids would say) you are totally blessed!
